About AuditX
A website audit that starts with the visitor, not the crawler.
AuditX is built and run by Zedox Development. It exists because most website audits answer the wrong question. They tell an owner that their largest contentful paint is 2.6 seconds, and leave them none the wiser about why nobody is filling in the form.
What it does differently
Every scan opens your site in a real browser at desktop and phone size and measures what is actually on screen. Is there a headline before scrolling. Is there a button. Does the menu open on a phone. Do the images load. Is there a way to contact you. That runs alongside the technical work: 98 checks in total covering SEO, indexability, AI search readiness, security and a crawl of up to twenty pages.
How we grade
Strictly, and we would rather explain a low score than inflate a high one.
- Nothing is scored that was not measured. If a check does not apply, or a measurement failed, it is left out of the maths rather than counted as a pass.
- A category standing on one check is not a measurement. It is excluded until there is enough to judge.
- A page Google is not allowed to index is capped at 50, however good everything else looks.
- Every threshold is calibrated against real sites. No check ships if it fails more than a quarter of a hand picked set of well built sites, because a check that cries wolf is worse than no check.
What we are honest about
The performance number comes from Google's real user data when your site has enough traffic for it to exist. When it does not, we fall back to a lab measurement on our own server, and if that server was too busy for the result to be trustworthy we report no score at all rather than a wrong one. The report says which of the two you are looking at.
